The village Rozyizzhe
Rozyizzhe- a former village, located to the west from the former district center, the city of Chernobyl, at a distance of 24 kilometers.
As a settlement, the village is known since the middle of the XVII century. The village arose in 1650 - it was during the period when Polish troops led by Prince Radzivil gathered for maneuvers on a nearby plain.
In 1887, 220 inhabitants lived in the village.
1900 - 538 people, there were 78 courtyards.
In the village 2 mills worked.
Rozyizzhe was subordinated to the village council of Stechanka village, which was located a couple of kilometers to the north.
Also, the village of Rozyizzhe was registered at the parish of the wooden church of the God's Transfiguration, which was located in the village of Korogod.
On the eve of the Chernobyl accident, 237 inhabitants lived in the village, there were 110 courtyards.
After the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, the village was resettled due to heavy radiation pollution, and the inhabitants were sent to the villages Arkadievka and Paskovshchina of Zgurovsky district.
In 1992, a strong fire struck the village, from which the village was severely damaged. Now there is practically nothing left.
